Ambassador Oleh Shamshur and Oksana Monastyrska join UBTA Strategic Advisers Group

Toward this goal, we launched the establishment of the UBTA Group of Strategic Advisers, who, along with our experts and international partners, offer innovative and systematic solutions on entering promising markets, managing regulatory and political risks, strengthening the reputation of Ukrainian companies and their brand recognition among international clients and partners.
On January 18, 2021, the UBTA was honored to welcome Oleh Shamshur, the Ambassador Extraordinary of Plenipotentiary to the USA (2006-2010) and France (2014-2020), and Oksana Monastyrska, a leading specialist in corporate communications, reputation management and public relations, as UBTA Strategic Advisors.

According to Nazar Bobitski, director of the UBTA Brussels office, cooperation with Ambassador Shamshur and Ms. Monastyrska can significantly strengthen the capabilities of the Brussels office to fulfill its mission of representing the Ukrainian export businesses in the European market and to expand the range of high-level contacts with the EU institutions, the EU member states and European business circles in the interests of Ukrainian exporters.
Ambassador Oleh Shamshur’s diplomatic career has included postings in Geneva, Brussels, Washington, and Paris. He joined Ukraine’s foreign service in 1993, as First Secretary and Counselor of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva. Later he was Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of Ukraine to the Benelux Countries. From 2003-2005, he was Head of the European Union Department and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. In the latter capacity he was Ukraine’s chief negotiator of the EU-Ukraine Action Plan. From 2006-2010, he served as Ambassador Extraordinary of Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the USA. From 2014-2020, he was Ambassador of Ukraine to France.
Oksana Monastyrska has more than three decades of experience working in private equity, business consulting, and for international development organizations. For the past twenty years, her track record as a senior C-Suite advisor on corporate communications and public affairs strategies has benefitted many international investors and national business champions. For more than half-a-decade, she managed the PBN Hill+Knowlton Strategies Ukrainian operations, one of the leading international communications consultancies in the market. She has vast experience in managing and advising clients on reputation strategy, strategic communications, corporate positioning and crisis communications in several key industry sectors, including agriculture, banking and finance, investments, energy, FMCG, metals and mining and telecommunication.
